We can become better relationship builders by following these necessary acts:

1.BE A LISTENER

The first step to maintain customer relationships is listening to your customers. They tend to bond with people who are ready to hear, listen and understand them.

Social media provides the space to the businesses to connect with their customers. Companies can reach out to customers through their Twitter handle, Facebook page, and Instagram account to address any concerns, issues or feedback.

2.ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS

The best way to let people understand that they are being heard, is by asking questions. We also tend to repeat to make sure that they are being heard. Customers tend to open up more and share their concerns when they sense that attempts are being made to understand them.This creates a bonding between the customers and the business, to which they tend to remain loyal resulting in meaningful relationships

3. FOCUS ON YOUR CUSTOMERS

Generally we tend to appreciate people who pay attention to us, this helps in building better relationships with the customers. Focus on your customer’s body language and facial expression to develop trust and stronger connections.

4. REMEMBER IMPORTANT THINGS

The first step to relationship building is remembering people’s names and other important aspects that are important to our customers. Be genuine with your customers and provide honest answers if they have concerns with your product.

5. BE CONSISTENT

People with mood swings have a difficult time creating meaningful relationships. We need to be able to fully listen and engage others keeping our feelings aside. Be honest and open with the other person when you are experiencing strong emotions rather than pretending to listen.

6. BE OPEN AND SHARE

To build strong relationships, we need to share the feelings like excitement, joy, sorrow, frustration, and disappointment at the right time that helps connect us to others. In addition, you can also share a situation of your own experience to relate to other’s experience. This requires empathy and sensitivity to their feelings.

7. BE CONFIDENT

People who are genuine, confident,positive,trustworthy and humble build great relationships. They are always positive and feel good about who they are. They genuinely wish the best for others and desire to see them succeed. They are lifelong learners looking for self-improvement opportunities.

8. EMPHASIZE ON CUSTOMER SUCCESS

Providing support to your customers will in turn reward you with loyalty and valuable feedback. Customer success is pivotal for any business. Meeting the customers needs will be the top priority for building better relationships.
9. STAY IN TOUCH

For building meaningful customer relationships, it is greatly important to stay in touch. This can be achieved by sending holiday cards, greeting cards or a quarterly email to make sure they are reminded of you and do not leave you for someone else.
